Marriage and Human Sexuality

We believe that God loves all people and so we aim to be a church which welcomes and serves all people, without discrimination.

We believe that the Bible is God’s word to us, and therefore carries his authority to speak into all parts of our lives.

We believe that God’s plan, revealed in the Bible, is that human sexual relationships must be confined to marriage. We understand God’s intention for marriage to be a lifelong and exclusive relationship between a man and a woman.

We believe that any sexual activity that lies outside of the marriage relationship is not part of God’s purpose and therefore falls short of the expectations of Christian discipleship.

We believe that singleness, and marriage should be equally valued as Christian lifestyles.

We believe that most, if not all, people experience sexual brokenness and have need of God’s forgiveness and his grace to respond to his call to sexual purity.

We believe that everyone, of whatever sexual orientation, in coming to faith in Jesus, is called to respond to the radical and self-sacrificial call to sexual purity.
