Sunday Service Restrictions

Sunday Service Restrictions

The latest information from the elders is that, from 12 September 2021:

  1. Booking will NOT be required for Sunday Services UNLESS you want to reserve some of the socially distanced seats that we will continue to provide. (Click the button above for bookings.)
  2. Children’s groups will be restarting so families are welcome!
  3. Masks must still be worn whilst inside the building and QR code/Track and Trace slips will continue to be available for use, in accordance with current government recommendations for large indoor gathering spaces.
  4. The building will continue to be well-ventilated, with windows and doors open. Hand sanitiser will be available when you enter and leave the building.

In answer to some questions that have been asked, we can add that:

  • The intention is to increase capacity to 140 chairs: 20 in the socially distanced area (which will need to be booked in advance via this website) and 120 in the non-socially distanced area (which will be first come first served). This is still some way below full capacity for the building.
  • If people turn up after the 120 chairs are filled then sadly we cannot further increase capacity on the day, so they will be told that there is no space available.
  • As people come into the building stewards will encourage them to scan the QR code, and if they have no means of doing that then they will be offered a Track & Trace slip to be completed on the day. Please bring your own pen!
  • Families with very young children will be encouraged to sit with those children on their laps, not to increase capacity necessarily but to look after them.
  • We will only keep the children in the service for a short time before they leave to go to their groups. During their time in the main meeting they should stay in their seat and in particular, be discouraged from wandering into the socially-distance area.

The elders will keep everything under constant review and welcome feedback as we take this next step forwards.
